Is Sales Data Trapped?

The salesman left the restaurant, jumped in his car and headed back to the office. He just finished have lunch with a strange lunch mate, his firms largest competitor. He was headed in to the office to submit his two week notice. He had been preparing for this for two weeks now; right after he got the better offer from the competition.

First thing he did was export all his data from his laptop. He even deleted the direct phone, cells and emails to his best clients. While he was making edits, he had a thought. And then deleted his entire lead list. All the hot, warm and cold prospects worked on his current companies dime just frittered away. Of course he had the data. The direct mail piece is already written explaining his move. All envelopes are stamped waiting to be mail dropped.

Has this happened to your firm and your sales data? Is your data trapped on salespeople's lap tops? You are at risk.
